Instead of surveying the 10 most popular sites we have decided to provide you with some background information on the ten most active Curriculum website managers for 2008 based on their logins. Here we talk to Tommy Botha, manager of the FET Biology website, which received 85373 hits during this period.

You have dedicated many hours to managing your website. Why?

It is important that teachers have the latest information and resources about Life Sciences available as soon as possible. Spending a lot of time at DoE (Department of Education) in Pretoria with the setting of national examination papers it is the only effective way of communicating with the Life Sciences teachers.

What are your plans for your website in the coming 12 months?

Still using this medium to improve and support the teaching and learning of Life Sciences at school level.

What are you currently reading?

The language of God, A scientist Presents Evidence for Belief by Dr. Francis Collins

What was your favourite film the past 12 months?

As it is in Heaven

People of your calibre are often driven, highly creative and/or have some secret formula for their success. What drives you and,if you have a formula or just some home-spun advice, please would you share it with us?

Dedicated to support Life Sciences teachers and be part of special projects such as SAASTE, Iimbovane outreach and Critical Thinking Group.

Other than managing your website, what else do you do for fun?

Reading about the latest research on Life sciences and watching sport such as tennis, cricket, soccer and rugby.
