CAT Conference 2007
Colleagues, I have secured money to have a CAT conference during the first term next year. Possible date for the conference: 16 and 17 February.
The outcomes for the conference would be:
1. To look at innovative teaching strategies and methodologies to deliver the CAT curriculum, particularly how we can integrate with other FET NCS subjects so that the content is placed into relevant contexts for learners.
2. Integration of the available technologies: interactive whiteboards, Internet, Intranet, video conferencing, etc
3. Dedicated sessions on specific applications
4. Showcasing and sharing of best practices: projects, ideas, tasks, etc.
This forum is created to do some brainstorming around:
1. Possible suitable venue
2. What a possible programme should look like: What is it that you want to be exibited/demontrated/presented/shared at a conference like this?
3. Possible guest speakers?
4. Etc.
