Welcome to Western Cape School Sport (WCSS). This organisation, WCSS, was launched on Saturday 14 May 2007, in Kuils River, Cape Town.

At the launch, the Western Cape Province MEC for Education, Cameron Dugmore and his department, the Western Cape Education Department (WCED), along with the Western Cape Province MEC for Sport and Recreation, Whitey Jacobs and his department, the Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport (DCAS), signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA).

In essence, this MoA states that it is the joint responsibility of the WCED and the DCAS to ensure the effective and efficient co-ordination, organisation, development and delivery of School Sport in the Western Cape Province.
