Welcome to the WCED Dance home page. You will be able to find all kinds of information on this site from policy to methods to ideas for the classroom.

This website seeks to assist the implementation of Dance in education in many ways. Information can be found on the philosophy that guides the subject, the goals and intended outcomes, curriculum matters, support materials such as teaching methodologies and materials on various dance forms, issues of access, assessment, perfomance opportunities and dance policy. It is hoped that net-users will interact with the material, communicate their responses and add to the growing resources.

The site is aimed at high school teachers, primary school teachers - both generalist and specialist. It has been designed with other interest groups in mind as well such as pre-service student teachers, NGO and community dance teachers, university and college lecturers, movement for actors lecturers, drama teachers and community recreation facilitators.

This is an interactive site, so lets hear from you too.
